Dry as a Bone – Electrosea DryGenie™
Humidity can be a problem onboard, leading to water damage, mildew, and interior smells. I once got onboard my boat and the dock power had tripped, disconnecting my dehumidifiers. Water drops were literally dripping off my forward hatch. At first, I thought I had left the hatch open a crack, but it was condensation. The new Electrosea DryGenie™ is a compact dehumidifier with a built-in reset, so it will start up again after power surges or outages like the one I experienced.
At 10.1” x 6.1” x 12.7”, DryGenie™ is far more compact than household dehumidifiers you can buy at the hardware store and is designed for the marine environment. It has a fold up carry handle that makes it easy to move, and a drain hose that allows you to remove the water it pulls into drains or bilges. DryGenie™ runs on 120V AC power (340 Watts), is quiet (<45dB), and removes up to three quarts/day.
