Calling all boat builders and DIY enthusiasts! The team behind Duckworks Boat Builders Supply—the same folks who brought you the Scamp, Scout, and Portage Pram—is taking over the Northwest Maritime Boatshop for a one-of-a-kind, hands-on boat-building experience. Whether you’re a seasoned builder or just dipping your toes into the world of boatmaking, this workshop will help you bring your dream vessel to life.

What Is the Duckworks Boatshop Takeover?

This open-platform workshop allows participants to choose a project from Duckworks’ extensive catalog while receiving expert guidance from the skilled Boatshop crew. You’ll have the opportunity to work on your boat at your own pace while being surrounded by like-minded builders in a fully equipped workspace.

Duckworks, now a sister company of Gig Harbor Boatworks, has been helping boat builders for over twenty years. They offer everything from boat plans designed by more than 36 designers to essential materials like epoxy, fiberglass, paint, marine hardware, rope, and tools. Their passion for boat building shines through in their carefully curated products, proprietary designs, and strong support for DIY builders.

How It Works

You can book by the week or stay for the whole month, depending on how much time you need to complete your project. The cost covers only tuition, so you must purchase your boat kit separately. Not sure what to build? Give Duckworks or Northwest Maritime a call—they’ll help you find the perfect project.

Before ordering your kit from the Duckworks website, contact the Northwest Maritime registrar to receive your exclusive Northwest Maritime takeover coupon code!
