Scout 670 LXS

Scout 670LX

Lead by Steve Potts who has been building boats since he was a child, Scout Boats has been in business for over 35 years. At the 2025 Palm Beach International Boat show they will unveil their flagship Scout 670 LXS which they are touting as the world’s largest outboard powered yacht. Known for high quality luxury center console boats, they have tipped the scales on this one.

The 670 LXS is the first of the 67 LX Series and was developed in partnership with super yacht design studio Harrison Eidsgaard. At 66’9” long by 16’ 2” wide and powered by five Mercury V-12 600 HP engines for a total of 3,000 HP, the 670 LXS should be impressive in many ways. Scout projects a top speed of 60 MPH, fast cruise of 40 MPH, and a 500-mile range. Three unique models will be based on the same hull, and power configuration: the 670 LXF (Luxury Fish Model); the 670 LXS (Luxury Sport Model); and the 670 LXC (Luxury Cruiser Model).

“We’ve experienced tremendous success over the years as we’ve continued to create and produce the most exciting, innovative, sophisticated, and high performing products sought on the market today,” said Scout CEO/Founder Steve Potts. “We want to continue to raise the industry bar for class, comfort, and style and naturally we knew the next evolution for the Scout brand was the 670 LX Series.”

Three state rooms below deck, multiple heads with showers, lounge areas spread throughout the boat, and a fully equipped galley deliver home-like comfort. Other features include articulating rocket launchers, a SureShade, retractable windows and sunroof, and dual hydraulic beach platforms. The blend of Scout quality, European superyacht design and the sheer size speed and volume of this boat is sure to be impressive. The new Scout 670 LXS is at the top of my list for boats to see at the show.
