Sweet Sloops, amazing nautical themed Chocolates

Love Sloops
Sweet Sloops

A Valentine’s Day tradition in our house for many years has been Sweet Sloops® from Harbor Sweets of Salem Massachusetts. These scrumptious pieces of almond butter crunch (toffee) are double-dipped in chocolate and have a crumble of nuts on the base. Not only do they taste unbelievably good, but they look like little sailboats.

The original Sweet Sloops® have the first chocolate coating made of white chocolate, so they look like sails, and then the bottom hull section is dipped in dark chocolate and then pecan spindrift to resemble the water. Every year my mom used to send these candies to everyone in our family for Valentine’s Day in little gift boxes.

I try to keep up the tradition and this year when I went to order some Sweet Sloops®, I discovered that they recently introduced Dark Chocolate Sweet Sloops, think tanbark sails where the upper portion is covered in dark chocolate and the bottom part Is dipped in white chocolate and nuts. In addition to this, I was told that new for 2025 Sweet Sloops® are now offered in milk chocolate too! I have to admit I have not tried the dark chocolate or milk chocolate versions but am really looking forward to it.

Harbor Sweets was founded in 1973 and today, this women-led company continues to prosper. Their mission is to produce the best chocolates in the world by focusing on Sweet Sloops® and their Nautical Collection. Their most important focus is helping their customers celebrate the sweetest moments in life.

If you or someone you know likes hand-made chocolates and want some with a nautical theme you really should check out Harbor Sweets. They have stores in Salem and Beverly, Massachusetts and easy online buying on their website. If you have never tried Sweet Sloops® I highly recommend them. They offer a variety of other chocolates too and I have tried a few over the years which were really good but as a toffee lover I always come back to the Sweet Sloops®, they really are fantastic.
