The new Tiara 39 LE, a modern express cruiser

The new Tiara 39 LE is a sister to the Tiara 39 LS Onboard we covered previously. They share the same hull and twin Mercury Verado 600’s so we would expect similar performance. The biggest differences are in the outdoor spaces and the cabin. The 39 LE has a larger covered lounge area opposite the helm ideal for gathering. The helm chair rotates to face this cozy lounge which hosts a removable table and an opening Webasto brand sunroof above. The forward most section of the lounge also folds back creating a forward-facing companion seat when running with excellent views out the nearly full beam windshield. The configuration of the lounge deck also makes it easier to enclose with canvas when needed.
The Tiara 39 LE has a sunpad on the foredeck but lacks the walkaround capability and bow lounge of the LS model. Without the bow riding capability there is additional cabin space below allowing for an island berth forward with better headroom. The 39 LE also has a more substantial galley below complete with a stainless-steel sink, microwave, electric induction cooktop, two drawer refrigerator/freezer, and pantry storage. There is a head with a separate shower and a second quarter berth style double bed under the companionway stairs. The express cruiser styling of the 39 LE is more reminiscent of past Tiaras although modern outboard power still sets this boat apart.
The cockpit area of both models features a unique rotating aft platform which can be configured in two ways. The Adventure module, which is more fishing oriented, has a fold down seat, bait wells, and rod holders. The Lounge option has a couch-like seat that can face forward, aft, or be angled. On the back of the rotating seat is a BBQ and wetbar along with a concealed storage compartment.
The aft section of the port gunnel folds out creating a hull side terrace covered with synthetic teak decking that opens up the area nicely. This allows you to get close access to the water when swimming diving or just dangling your feat in. The terrace also provides a few more feet of deck space but be aware that there are no rails when this panel is folded down. When shooting video of the rotating seat at the show I nearly fell in while backing up to better capture the action. Opposite the terrace is a convenient hull side boarding door. The afterdeck and lounge on the Tiara 39 LE can be covered by a Makefast® powered sunshade that extends out from the hardtop.
Having two models in the Tiara 39 series makes sense. The Tiara 39 LE (Luxury Express) has more accommodations and protected areas that work better in certain climates and for those wanting to cruise for longer periods of time. The Tiara 39 LS (Luxury Sport) with its open bow lounge and walkaround capabilities excels as a dayboat that you can still overnight on and also allows for different kinds of fishing, especially in warm climates. I really liked both of these new models, especially the rotating aft modules and would have a hard time choosing between them.
